Road Scholars sponsors Jeff Zwart's Pikes Peak film

By Cam Ingram

Road Scholars is proud to share this incredible video of Jeff Zwart's run up Pikes Peak this past June.

The 92nd Annual Pikes Peak Hill Climb in Colorado Springs is the second oldest motor sports race in America. It's a 12.42 mile course with 156 turns and an elevation increase of 4,725 feet. The grueling course elevations dilute reflexes and even steal 30% of the car’s engine power by the time drivers reach the top.

Zwart completed the course in 10:01.917, coming in 2nd in his class (Time Attack 1), and 9th in overall placement, driving the #111 car, a 2007 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup Turbo Hill Climb Special.

Check out the video below (or on YouTube) to experience the heartpounding climb for yourself.

Produced by Will Roegge. Presented by Luminox Watches, Michelin Tires, and Road Scholars.
