December Editor’s Note

By Cam Ingram

Thanksgiving has passed and we hope you survived not only that day but also Black Friday and the full, amazing sports weekend.

With this, our December issue, we complete our first calendar year of publication and, including the post-Monterey auction special edition, we've given you 12 issues to get to know us and for us to get to know you.

In this issue, you'll find a report on the vintage race event you'll wish you attended, an examination of the thorny question of when is a restoration finished, and finally a bit of tongue-in-cheek to lighten the holidays. There are some more books to consider, as well.

As we head into 2016, we will add some new contributors for you to read, and we and they will look further and wider into the wonders of Porsche ownership, enjoyment, and history. We also will continue with diligent and prompt coverage of the major auctions and sales meetings, and of the most significant shows and vintage racing events.

If there is anything you'd like to read about or know about, please let us know.

We are grateful for your readership.

On behalf of everyone at Road Scholars, I wish you joyous and sublime holidays: Happy Hanukkah, Merry Christmas, and a wonderful and healthful New Year.
